I'd like to create an effect where the post title and meta has a background that comes from the left edge of the page and surrounds it, but I'm a novice with this sort of thing.

I'd like to add a div around the post title and meta to accomplish this, but I'm unclear where this is found. It seems that "the loop" is being called, does this get created in archives.php?

Thanks I would love to hear some helpful advice on achieving this effect. My other stumbling block is that the title and meta divs are inside the content div, but this background would (again) travel all the way to the edge of the page.

I hope this makes sense. So far I've been able to get my excerpt, the_post_thumbnail and entry-title, but have a hard time finding the proper function for the rest. Can you help?

I'm totally new to PHP so forgive me if I'm missing any relevant information.

Thanks, code below

<?php thematic_abovecontent(); ?>

<?php

// displays the page title
thematic_page_title();

// create the navigation above the content
thematic_navigation_above();

// action hook for placing content above the index loop
thematic_above_indexloop();

// action hook creating the index loop
//thematic_indexloop();
query_posts('&cat=3');
if ( have_posts() ) : while ( have_posts() ) : the_post(); ?>

"rel="bookmark" title="Permanent Link to <?php the_title_attribute(); ?>"> <?php the_title();?>

<?php the_post_thumbnail(); ?>

<?php the_excerpt(); ?>

<?php add_meta_box(); ?>

<?php endwhile; else: ?>

<?php _e('Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.'); ?>

<?php endif;

// action hook for placing content below the index loop
thematic_below_indexloop();

// create the navigation below the content
thematic_navigation_below();

?>

<?php thematic_belowcontent(); ?>

mirko77 on "Custom taxonomies are not saved when 'hierarchical' => false" http://forums.themeshaper.com/topic/custom-taxonomies-are-not-saved-when-hierarchical-gt-false#post-18535 Thu, 20 Jan 2011 15:48:05 +0000 mirko77 18535@http://forums.themeshaper.com/
I figured it out.
The "Choose from most used tags" does not display a list of tags, but only the most used or those which has been used at least once.

Is there a way to override this behaviour from functions.php??

Otherwise is there a way to remove the "parenting" feature if I use a custom category (with
hierarchical => true;
) instead of tags?

Thank you
mirko77 on "Custom taxonomies are not saved when 'hierarchical' => false" http://forums.themeshaper.com/topic/custom-taxonomies-are-not-saved-when-hierarchical-gt-false#post-18527 Thu, 20 Jan 2011 13:25:14 +0000 mirko77 18527@http://forums.themeshaper.com/
I created a custom post type called "Images" and a custom taxonomy "Galleries" to group these image entries together.

I do not want "Galleries" to be hierarchical but I just need tags therefore 'hierarchical' => false
If I add the galleries via the main page they are saved and shown properly.
The problem is when I add a new post "Image" and I want to pick up an existing gallery in my meta box, no tags are shown and I get the "no tags" message.

If I add my galleries (tags) using the meta box they are actually saved and shown correctly. It is only adding the tags through the main page which does not work. It works if I set 'hierarchical' => true but I do not need categories, I just need tags.

Any suggestion?

Thank you
amoore on "Posts inside the Pages and subpages" http://forums.themeshaper.com/topic/posts-inside-the-pages-and-subpages/page/2#post-18375 Fri, 14 Jan 2011 18:24:00 +0000 amoore 18375@http://forums.themeshaper.com/
Thanks for this great (even when dated) thread!

Did Saski's question get answered somewhere? I've got the rest working but would also love this answer:

"I am tryng to insert the page content before the category loop, to use that as introduction or a customizable intro area Can you give me a clue on how to edit it to display the page content above the category loop?"

Thanks!
