ThemeShaper Forums Topic: Drop down menus w/ thematic problem Help In Shaping WordPress Themes en Fri, 29 May 2015 18:17:57 +0000 mtancock on "Drop down menus w/ thematic problem" Mon, 02 Feb 2009 17:30:57 +0000 mtancock 1558@
That was very easy!!

Thanks so much. You've put an end to hours of frustration!!

Matt
sareiodata on "Drop down menus w/ thematic problem" Mon, 02 Feb 2009 17:20:00 +0000 sareiodata 1556@
Hi Matt,

Add to the end of your style.css file :
#access{
overflow:visible;
}

After this you should view the drop-down!
mtancock on "Drop down menus w/ thematic problem" Mon, 02 Feb 2009 16:28:00 +0000 mtancock 1553@
I'm having a few issues. I've tried about 3 different plugins which provide easy ways of adding drop down menus, and I'm not having any success. I'm not sure if i'm doing something stupid or if their's a conflict.

I downloaded thematic today, and to make sure I hadn't changed anything I deleted the folder from my server and started a fresh. I've also tried with a child theme (byty) with the same results.

I've tried the plugins: CMS Navigation, dtabs, and multi-level navigation plugin (all seperately - don't worry I haven't got them all running at once)

They all work by adding a tag into the header.php which then creates a pages menu with dropdowns for child pages.

The problem I have is, no dropdowns. They all generate the menu system with rollovers working etc. but when a dropdown should appear, none does.

If I change to Kubrick (say) and try it on their, it works absolutely fine, which tells me it's something related to thematic but I haven't got a clue how to start working this out.

I haven't made any changes to any css, or any other files apart from adding one line into the header.php (I removed everything inside the access div and added the relevant code for whichever plugin I was using...) Is this where I'm going wrong?

Test site with thematic and (currently) no child theme is

Any suggestions gratefully recieved!!

Matt
