Acamas: "Pages" vs. "Older Posts"

(9 posts)
  1. I just uploaded and activated Acamas for my site, and I love it. It is the exactly what I was looking for in a minimalistic theme. So far, I have not encountered any problems, but I will probably have to go back into the archives and set up a boat-load of excerpts for posts.

I have one question: On the demo site for Acamas, on the front page, you have this -

    "Page 1 of 2 1 2»"

but on my site, it shows up as -

    "« Older posts"

How can I change the "older posts" to "Page"?

I am still rather new at customizing and changing these things, and I appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks, and once again, Acamas is awesome.

  2. WP - PageNavi

  3. Thanks for the fix, Ian. I'd never heard of that plugin, so it would not have occurred to me to use it. With a little bit of tinkering, it worked perfectly.

  4. What tinkering did you have to do?

  5. For some reason, when the plugin was first activated, the navigation was showing up at the base of the footer. It was showing up above and below the recent posts as it should have, but also below the footer text.

This happened after adding the code to the footer per the instructions of the plugin. But eventually, when I removed the code from the footer, everything worked properly. I don't know why this fixed the problem, but oh well.

  6. You shouldn't have to do anything to your theme to make WP-PageNavi work. I've built the plugin calls into the theme so it's ready to roll as soon as you activate it, and I pre-style my themes for it.

  8. That's because you haven't enough posts to paginate. :)

    Hi,

Can you tell me how to completely remove the built-in WP Pagenavi support in the Thematic theme?

The built-in one does not look the way I prefer. And I am not good at meddling with codes.

The default look that is shown at the WP Pagenavi plugin page looks good. So I just want to install that plugin, activate and use it as it is.

Could someone point me to which file to open and what code to remove from it.

    Many thanks in advance.
