Adding a theme options page to a child theme.

  1. Does anyone know of any good tutorials for adding a theme options page for child themes? Preferably Thematic? What i'd really like to accomplish is a custom home page with a few editable areas from the custom options page.
    I'd do it with custom fields but I'm also adding the 4 most recent posts from the blog, and for some reason custom fields don't seem to work when your working with a loop? Maybe I'm going about this all wrong. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  2. It going be the same method as doing it through a normal theme or a plugin. It's just a matter where the code is located and what file is including it. Here are some good links on the topic:
