Has anyone ever made the content load via ajax so that the page does not refresh? I'm working on a musician's site and I'd like to let the music player keep playing will the content changes.

oh, i didn't mean to be rude to the forum. when i stated i've done this, i did try it out months ago. got it working, but it does have its problems.

it was many months ago. i followed this tut as a base

from what i remember, it creates pretty ugly url's.chris coyier made a simple ajax theme and did a tut on it

i've done this, poorly, but it works...
i'll dig in last years things and come back with it, but it might have been one large and overly complicated plugin... =\

status:
so far the chris coyier method works for just about everything BUT w/ the search. there is a bit of code that makes it look like it is supposed to work, but it doesn't as is.
there is also a plugin called ajax page load that does work w/ search and everything, but doesn't change the browser url so no history is enabled.
