I need to redirect links from the old site which used index.php also. the links get chopped down to what was after the index.php now so

    index.php?link=123
    becomes
    ?link=123

i need to rewrite these to be
    123
    any ideas?
tried many thinks keep causeing 500 error.

  2. what about giving us an example link from the old site... with an example of what it should link to on the new site? i'm not really clear from the above post. i think regular expressions and htaccess are pretty much voodoo, but maybe something like this could help?

    original link would be

    domain.com/index.php?link=product=fabral-slim-seam
that was parsed by php. Was my first attempt at a custom CMS

i can achieve automatic 301 redirection for most pages if i can get it down to
    domain.com/product=fabral-slim-seam
and the ones not caught automatically i will do manually using the 404 monitors. I have over 300 pages to redirect so i gotta work this out as i dont want to do them all manually
