  1. Hi,

I'm using a plugin that requires me to create a custom page template which inserts a function call into the content area of the page to display a list of events. This is my first time using Thematic and child themes and I'm trying to be very very good and not touch any files in the main /thematic theme. But as far as I know, there's no way to put my new page_template.php in my child theme folder.

I'm wracking my brain for a way to handle this via a function and coming up blank. I considered WordPreciousss but that also seems to require hacking of the Thematic core files. Any suggestions, or should I just not worry about it?

    Thanks so much!

  2. You should be able to just use the new template in your Child Theme folder. Have you tried it?

  3. *whapping self on back of head* - I am such an idiot! Yes, that works perfectly. I didn't know you could put anything other than style.css and function.php (and images) in your child theme folder. How wonderful. Thank you so much for your help!!
