  1. I've been trying to modify a WordPress childtheme at my site http://www.maleproof.com to add a search box, and use the menu code from Cozmolab's Early Morning theme. The problem I've been having is that the Blog Description is positioned incorrectly on the home page and positioned perfectly on every other page. I believe it has something to do with it being the Blog Description being using the H1 tag on the home page, rather than a being a Div.

    For stylesheet.css:

    // Remove default Thematic actions
    function remove_thematic_actions() {
    remove_action('thematic_header','thematic_access',9);
    }
    add_action('init','remove_thematic_actions');

    // Add the Logo and Search Box next to the menu
    function searchmenu_access(){ ?>
    	<div id="access">
    		<div id="access-search">
    		<form id="searchform" method="get" action="<?php bloginfo('home') ?>">
    		<div>
    		<input id="s" name="s" type="text" value="<?php echo wp_specialchars(stripslashes($_GET['s']), true) ?>" size="20" tabindex="1" />
    		<input id="searchsubmit" name="searchsubmit" type="submit" value="<?php _e('Search', 'thematic') ?>" tabindex="2" />
    		</div>
    		</form>
    		</div>
    		<div class="skip-link"><a href="#content">"><?php _e('Skip to content', 'thematic'); ?></a></div>
    		<div id="menu">
    			<?php wp_page_menu('sort_column=menu_order') ?>
    		</div>
        </div><!-- #access -->

    For functions.php:

    #header {
        padding: 20px 0;
    }

    #branding {
        padding: 0;
        background: url(images/branding_bg.png) top left no-repeat;
        height: 150px;
    }

    #blog-title{
        float: left;
        padding-top: 40px;
        padding-left: 60px;
        width: 335px;
    }

    #blog-description {
    	padding-left: 60px;
    	width: 335px;
    }

    .skip-link {
        display: none;
    }

    #access {
    	position: relative;
    	overflow: hidden;
    	border:none;
    	height: 74px;
    	font-size: 13px;
    	z-index: 100;
    	float: right;
    	margin-top: 45px;
    	width: 318px;
    }

    #access-search {
    	margin-left: 18px;
    }

    #menu {
    	padding-top: 10px;
    }

    What's the easiest way to get the Blog Description positioned properly on the home page?
