I find the browser body class really useful when making adjustments for different browsers. I've also been looking into caching plugins to help speed up websites, and was wondering if using something like this would affect the output of the browser body class.

  2. that is an intriguing question. i am going to guess that yes the caching would interfere. i wonder how caching effects even IE specific stylesheets. hmmm

  3. As it stands the default functionality of Thematic's user agent body classes does not work properly with most of the caching plugins that I have used.

The problem is that the user agent will be cached and then served to a subsequent cached page-views regardles of that page-view's user agent. I have had some success with using wp-super-cache in legacy caching mode and rewriting the header.php in a child theme.

I'm working on a better way than having to copy over the header.php. I'll let you know when I've got it worked out.

  6. em hr,

I'm interested in your solution. There doesn't seem to be a way to arbitrarily process PHP snippets within a WP Super Cache'd page, so the only option might be to use javascript.
