    This is a dumb question. I have searched briefly looking for the solution online but can't find it and I'm on a deadline to finish this simple WP site by tomorrow some time.

    Is there a simple way to have the title in the browser, but not show up in the header?

    I'd like to have the title in the browser, but I have no use for text in the browser.

    If anybody can suggest what can be done, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks for reading.

  2. Go to your style sheet and find #header {} (or whatever id/class selector you want to hide) and add the rule:

    #header {
        ...
        display: none;
    }

    Should do the trick.

    I forgot to mention that I have images in the header. I want the header, I just don't want the text title in there, but would like to title the browser with the site name.

    Know what I mean? :)

    If this was my own site it'd be a piece of cake but I need to work with WP's system. I did forget that command in CSS though. Thanks for the reminder! :D

  4. #blog-title {text-indent:-9000px;}

  5. You may also find pushing the text useful.

    #blog-title a { text-indent: -9999px; }

    All it does is push the text off screen while leaving the element intact, which makes it nice when you need to fun things like "css sprites".
