Buddypress with Thematic

    Hi everyone! I'm about to build a new site and I want it to support buddypress and multiuser features. My question now is this: should I build it on thematic, which i really like, or would it be better to start with buddymatic. I have heard that there are plans for thematic to support buddypress. I am wondering when this feature will be ready and if it will be easy to upgrade to this functionality ? Maybe I should just wait until it is ready and wp 3.0 is out as well. I guess that would be the smartest thing to do, but i'm just burning to get on with the project. Any thoughts or advice on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello!

    Well, I was asking myself the same... Just need to start a new WP3 site working as a CMS and having also buddypress in a subfolder, can we start using thematic or do we have to use buddymatic?

    The coming version of Thematic will have multisite support. The coming release is under review at the WP.org theme repository. I believe that Chris was merging Buddymatic with Thematic but I'm not sure if that process has been completed as of the impending release.

    Hi,

    I'm still working on the current Thematic release to get it through the Theme Review process.

    As soon as the current version goes live, we can talk about BuddyPress.

    Still no news on BuddyPress?? I tried asking two months ago too. Same silence. This is the only tortuous part about Thematic--the never knowing. And never being able to plan.
