  1. maybe i have thematic on the brain now, but i was wondering if any had filtered functions from plugins? is that possible? i am using the efficient related posts plugin (or would like to) as i think its approach it more economical for site performance. however, i'd also like to add some thumbnails into its html output.

oh.. and what the heck does $this-> mean? i have sussed out that it pertains to 'object oriented' programming (whatever that is).. but you can't google "this"... you get every page ever made on the web!

  2. In PHP $this is a variable reserved for internal use within an object that has been defined.

That may be of little help in fully understanding OOP. Try this query and see if it gives you more relevant information on OOP in PHP:
