  1. Hi

    I have been using Commune as a theme. It uses a bit of php from here:
    http://www.wp-fun.co.uk/2009/01/10/easy-peasy-images-suggestion-roundup/

    It got me thinking about the way they are using images for categories and thought of a possible idea. I don't know if it is possible and thought I would ask here. The idea is that every category is represented by an image as above with each image being displayed in a page called 'Category'. So you would have a page of boxes all associated with an image. If you click on an image and there are sub cats you are then take to the sub cats. If it takes you to posts then the posts are displayed as a box as well. Click on the box and the post is then opened. This is essentially what I am doing here. I'm doing it by hard coding it into the page.

    Is it possible please?

    Thanks

  2. Hey Rich,

    I read your post and I'm still thinking about a solution .. the top level categories are pretty simple .. but the next level categories .. need to do some tests.

    Cheers,

  3. Hi Chris

    I've been trying to work with this code:
    <?php
    foreach((get_the_category()) as $cat)
    {
    echo $cat->category_nicename;
    }
    ?>

    I got it from this post:
    http://www.wpdesigner.com/2007/06/22/styling-posts-by-category-and-category-specific-images/

    It's difficult trying to work out where to go from here! Any thoughts please?

    Thanks

    Rich
