    OK, I am sorry to post again...I hope this is the last for a while.

    I have been trying to change the background color of the news section of my site. It is the only portion that uses the Word Press blog. The other pages are static.

    I am able to change the background color of the other pages by adding this to my style.css:

    body.slug-travel #main {
    width: 960px;
    background: #ECC58F;
    }

    But when I try to do that for my news page...nothing takes and the page remains white.

    Is it possible to do this? If so, any ideas?

    Thank you again! I appreciate the insight and time of all here.

    using any of those body classes unique to your news page will do it. just like you did above

    otherwise post your site link here

    Hi Jamie-
    THanks for the reply.
    No, I tried that. I added

    body.slug-news #main {
    width: 960px;
    background: #ECC58F;
    }

    to my style.css page and nothing changed. It seems the news/blog page may be different.

    My site link is:

    polina-such.freehostia.com/news

    I appreciate your time and help.

    looking at you news page it does not have a slug-news, it's you blog page so it has a class of .blog
