  1. Hello. I tried searching the forums and I couldn't find the answer that I was looking for. Basically what I want to do is change the size of header area. I'm not sure what if I'm describing this properly so I made some visual representations of what I want to do.

    Here is how my site looks right now.

    I basically want to reduce the size of the header area like in the picture above and move the widget area more over to the right. Is this possible? What do I have to edit or research to make my site's layout look like this?

    Can you please point me in the right direction?

  2. Hi,

    first of all you should start using Firefox with the Firebug addon.

    Add the following code to your child theme's style.css:

    #branding {
        padding:88px 0 44px;
    }

    and start to play with the settings (88px controls the top padding and 44px the bottom padding).

  3. Thank you very much Chris. That is exactly what I was looking for. I also installed Firebug and that is an interesting addon. Definitely very helpful. Any idea as to what I would need to edit for the sidebar area?
