Child Themes - Can I alter a pre-set one?

    If I choose to use a child theme, can I make any changes to the code once I've uploaded it?

    Thanks for any help you can offer.

    yes ... that is the power of child themes .. you can modify theme without messing up your main theme so as upgrades come along your site is less breakable
