  1. I see a long list of childtheme_override's kindly provided by Gene (aka em hr), but googling or forum searching is not turning up anything for me as to what these do, or how to use them.

Could anyone point me in direction of the override tree of knowledge?

  2. Hi,

It hasn't been discussed mainly because that hasn't been released. No tree of knowledge just yet, but there will likely come more thorough explanations. The gist of it is:

If a child_theme_override_*() exists Thematic will use the child theme's override function instead of the parent function provided by Thematic.

  3. thanks for shaking the tree a little. I think i get it.

example being if i wanted to change the output of thematic_postmeta_entrydate I could use the override function without having to create an entirely new post_meta filter.
