  2. You can edit the footer text using the Theme Options page under the Appearance panel.

    Thanks Ian!, and to add a image (logo)?

  4. You can just add an img tag in there (and possibly position it with CSS). There're more complicated ways of doing it but it's what I'm doing on ThemeShaper.

  5. Hey Sandra,

    just in case you want to make this permanent for a child theme you can use the following code in your child theme's functions.php:

    function my_footer($thm_footertext) {
    	$thm_footertext = "My Footer Text";
    	return $thm_footertext;
    }
    add_filter('thematic_footertext', 'my_footer');

    Tested with Thematic 0.9 and the basic child theme coming from the directory thematic\thematic-sample-child-theme.

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Thanks bouth for your fast support, yes i think i will make it permanent to my child theme, then how do i had a image tag?, do i have to do it with that function, ore with the .css?

    Chris, I'm still trying to align the subsections of the menu to the left but i couldn't find the solution..have you find the js code? (sorry for insisting, but i'm really lost)

    thanks again!

  7. The code would look like this:

    function my_footer($thm_footertext) {
    	$thm_footertext = 'My Footer Text. ';
    	$thm_footertext .= '<img src="' . get_bloginfo('stylesheet_directory') . '/images/bottom.jpg" alt="Whatever" />';
    	return $thm_footertext;
    }
    add_filter('thematic_footertext', 'my_footer');

    You might want to add some additional classes to the several parts to make it nice using CSS.

    Regarding the fly-outs .. I still haven't found anything 'bout this one .. I even looked for other jQuery menus but none of these is able to combine drop-down plus a fly-out to the left. For a vertical menu this seems to be no problem.

    And I'm still on war with jQuery in terms of programming. Will try to contact the author.

    Cheers,

    Chris

  8. Chris, could you make the content of your custom footer function append to the stuff that is already inserted via the Thematic Options page?

  9. Hi Manuel,

    just add a . before the first = .. should look like this:

    function my_footer($thm_footertext) {
    	$thm_footertext .= 'My Footer Text. ';
    	$thm_footertext .= '<img src="' . get_bloginfo('stylesheet_directory') . '/images/bottom.jpg" alt="Whatever" />';
    	return $thm_footertext;
    }
    add_filter('thematic_footertext', 'my_footer');

  11. EDIT: Nevermind :)
    --------------------------------------

    Hmmm, and what is wrong with this?

    // Adds a searchform to the footer
    function footersearch($footersearch) {
    	$footersearch .= '<div id="footersearch">Here shall be the searchform!</div>';
    	return $footersearch;
    }
    add_filter('thematic_footertext', 'footersearch');

  12. Nothing. I tested the code you posted and it worked fine. What is the problem you're experiencing with it?
