I am trying to use Thematic as a CMS using the supplied thematic-sample-child-theme altering the style.css to create my result.
I can create the front page just as I want (a disguised bog Posts page with 2 colums either side of the blog column) using @import url('../thematic/library/layouts/3c-fixed.css') in my child style.css.
However, I want the standard fixed pages with just 1 column to the left of the content. I could do this with inserting a hacked php file in my child (after spending many happy hours working it out!) but I feel it would be far more elegant to be able to do it with css. Possibly a simple additional css file (page.css) just to sort out the content width and remove the secondary aside would work based on 2c-r-fixed.css.
This would have to be called only by fixed pages and NOT the blog post page (page.php?).
Is it possible to insert a stylesheet call to page.css only in the page headers (not posts page) placed after the call to style.css. Could it be done with a simple function and if so what would the function be? Even a simple function would be beyond me at the present time. I could use Platinum SED to insert the call but it would go in pages and posts headings.
Sorry to be so long winded.
