I would like to display the most recent article for two different categories on my front page. I've seen in the forums how to exclude categories from the front page, but I haven't found anything about how to display particular ones. I'm thinking I would need to do a function that modifies the thematic_index_loop to only pull one category. Then another function to make the loop go again and pull the other category. But of course, I'm not sure how to do that. My php knowledge is very limited. I'm using the Travailler theme if that matters.

    Can anyone help?

it is the same process except you use different query parameters... see some of the example parameters:

Ok thanks. I'll check that out. How about displaying two articles from the separate categories? Am I thinking correctly that I need to put the index_loop twice and put different categories in each one?

    Thanks!
