  1. Hi All,
I have an issue with the drop down feature in the nav.

Save i have a link in my nav bar named 'Services' with the child links below.

    services
    - services 1
    - services 2
    - services 3

How do I make it so that 'Services' in not linked to a page? So it's just a text link in the nav.

    Thanks

    hey mate...

you would have to hard code you dropdowns, you can't just unlink a link, as the dropdown links are subpages created in wordpress, so it's got nothing to do with thematic...

the only way is to build you entire menu from scratch, then you can have anything you want in there.

unless you can find a plugin that can unlink links...there may be one (there is plugins for everything) but you will still have to do some serious css work, as most of the main styles for the dropdown are applied to a link element, so if it is'nt a link, then it won't get styled by default.

  3. Hi,

you could switch the menu creation to wp_list_pages() and use the Page Lists Plus plugin.

Search the forums for 'page lists plus', there should be a recipe somewhere.

this is the plugin i used to unlink items in the menu on a site i built with thematic (i forgot about it, it was a while ago)

    technokinetics.com/plugins/page-lists-plus/

you will still need to style the menu so the lists themselves have padding, and not the links
