    I just updated Thematic from 0.9.5.1 to the latest version 0.9.7.7. My custom CSS classes based on dyanamic dates stopped working. I was able to replicate this on my development server with a fresh WP install and a tryout of the two versions of Thematic.

    As an example:

    0.9.5.1:
    <div id="post-1" class="hentry p1 post publish author-admin category-uncategorized untagged comments-open pings-open y2011 m07 d15 h10 slug-hello-world">

    0.9.7.7:
    <div id="post-1" class="post-1 post type-post status-publish format-standard hentry category-uncategorized">

    Since 0.9.7.5, thematic introduced constants so you can switch between the wordpress default classes and thematic's custom ones. This was a requirement of the theme review team at wordpress, as you can read about in the changelog.

    What you are seeing is the wordpress standard output, and you want switch back to the thematic classes. Include these lines in your child theme's functions.php

    define('THEMATIC_COMPATIBLE_BODY_CLASS', true);
    define('THEMATIC_COMPATIBLE_POST_CLASS', true);
    define('THEMATIC_COMPATIBLE_COMMENT_FORM', true);
    define('THEMATIC_COMPATIBLE_FEEDLINKS', true);

    Oh, and the latest stable development version is actually 0.9.8 and can be downloaded from

    I think most people refer to this as the "latest version", even though you can't download it from wordpress.org yet.
