   ive noticed that only the primary and secondary widget areas are showing up in the wp e-commerce pages, do i need to enable the other widgets somewhere??
   this is interested, from here i noticed there is a difference in widget types - http://bluemandala.com/thematic/thematic-structure.html

   ya, ive fixed it sorta by adding a standard widget area call in the page-normal-template, that now shows. but still the standard ones (with widget inside) dont show on wp e-commerce pages.

   so i have primary, secondary, and my custom once, but no others, beforeindex, footer, or whatevers.

   i guess i don't understand what the wp e-commerce pages are? where did they come from? they might not have the same hooks as a thematic page.

   This seem to be an issue with WP E-commerce. Since several people has had the same problem recently I did a bit of googling.

   I found this http://getshopped.org/forums/topic/themefunctionsphp-breaks-thematic-sidebar/
   In the thread, the poster replaces a function in WP e-commerce with an earlier version.

   Another solution can be found here http://likesalmon.net/wp-e-commerce-3-8-and-thematic-no-sidebars/
   In that, the author changes the call for thematic_sidebar(); to directly calling the sidebars with

   thematic_primary_aside();
   thematic_secondary_aside();

   Seems a bit unclear to exactly what the error is. The forum post suggests WP E-commerce is somewhere overriding the templates, and the blog author think it is overriding dynamic_sidebar() since widgets were showing in Twenty Ten but not in Twenty Eleven. In any case, the error is not in thematic.

   ya, the solution over at getshopped didint work for me as that was a case of all sidebars not working.

   so i did like the second link there already, and that has worked.
   would be nice to get them working automatically, but till them the fix is working.
