    Hello all,
    I am building a site that has 3 loops, the first calls the most recent post from the comics category, the second the 3 most recent from the news category, then the third the 5 next-most recent posts from the comics category (still having trouble not repeating the most recent, but I just saw a related post here, so am looking into it).

    the problem is, I don't want the titles for the comics, but do want them for the news. I feel like I'm missing something really obvious, but I can't figure out how to tell my functions to only remove the post meta for the comics category.

    Is it as simple as I imagine it is?

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Didn't really find a way to filter this, but it occurred to me that I could simply remove the call to thematic_postheader() in the first and third loops in my functions.php. I'm going to mark this as resolved, but I would welcome anybody who knows how to do what I was asking to chime-in.

    It is as simple as you imagine it. Depending on your imagination, of course. ;-)

    function childtheme_filter_postheader( $postheader ) {
        if ( is_category( 'comics' ) ) {
           return; // returning nothing means the header is removed
        }
        else {
            return $postheader;
        }
    }
    add_filter( 'thematic_postheader', 'childtheme_filter_postheader' );
