    This is the code in the sidebar.php:

    <?php

        // action hook for placing content above the main asides
        thematic_abovemainasides();

        // action hook creating the primary aside
        widget_area_primary_aside();

        // action hook for placing content between primary and secondary aside
        thematic_betweenmainasides();

        // action hook creating the secondary aside
        widget_area_secondary_aside();

        // action hook for placing content below the main asides
        thematic_belowmainasides();

    ?>

    This is the action hook for...widget_area_primary_aside();

    I would LOVE to know where the HTML residing in this function is. Just this one. I think then I would maybe start to see how these nested functions operate on a whole.

    If somebody can point me in the right direction I would very much appreciate it!

  2. everything is in the library/extensions folder of thematic. that is where all the guts of thematic live. in this case i believe it is in widget-extensions.php. i find myself referencing the extensions folder ALL the time. just remember to make any changes in your child theme and not to thematic itself.

    Awesome. I was looking in the WordPress Admin the whole time. No wonder I didn't see it. It looks like a whole lot more PHP. I'm still not quite sure where to put HTML suitably, but this helps me along for sure.

    Thanks a bunch, you rock!
