  1. I'm a CSS/PHP n00b, here's one for you fellow n00bs when you have the 'Gallery' theme, and there's no fix to be found, here you go !

    The hover/slide is when your mouse hovers over one of the thumbnail images in your gallery, and the image slides up, and you see the title of the image, located at the bottom-left !

    My slide title became hidden when, after oh, about 2 hours of trying stuff, I finally figured where and how to change the default size of the thumbnails (more on this in another post).

    Open your style.css file (it will also be named stylesheet.css in your WP Dashboard).

    Do a 'find' and uhhhh find the following:

    .not-singular .entry-content a span.slide-title{

    position: absolute;

    top: 108px;

    left: 3px;

    width: 300px;

    line-height: 1em;

    color: white !important;

    font-size: .8em;

    text-transform: uppercase;

    z-index: 0

    The line you seek is: line-height: 1em;

    If you change the '1' in '1em' to a larger number, the title text moves downwards. I changed my thumbnails from the default 125x125 to 250x150 and promptly 'lost' my titles whenever the slide slid.

    I changed that '1' to a '6' and the title is once more where it should be !

    Regards,
    Cat
