I'm editing a theme with thematic and there's a giant gap in the bottom that only appears in firefox.

It displays in opera, ie, chrome, and safari. Is there a reason why firefox won't adjust the height?

    Thank you for your help.

  2. i see a lot of empty space down there in chrome too. i don't immediately see the solution in chrome's dev tools. so my suggestion is my piece by piece debug method. it's no fun but it will probably sort it out eventually. basically take everything out of your stylesheet and then add the sections back in in small increments until you isolate what is causing the problem.

    Argh, I hate that.

Have you tried installing FireBug into Firefox, and then using its ability to click an element and show the attached styles?

Also, I've been running into some really odd margin-top behavior in FireFox. See if you've got any margin set to the top of the footer, or an element within the footer. I've been finding that sometimes FireFox renders a child element's margin-top above its parent, instead of within its parent.

  4. i have firebug but i hardly use firefox anymore as i find chrome to be a little snappier and not as much of a memory hog.

but i just looked in both FF and chrome and you appear to have solved your huge margin problem. it looks good in both to me now. what was the issue?

sidenote- i like what you've done w/ the site. very pro and not easily recognizable as thematic.
