  1. Hi

    I am looking to exclude certain pages from header.php or even remove the pages element completely. However, a bit stuck on finding and editing the code.

    <div id="header">
    <?php thematic_header() ?>
    </div><!-- #header-->

    Where is the ?php thematic_header() element kept please? I presume it is a function that I have to edit. Is that correct?

    Thanks

    Rich

  3. Thanks Ian that is a useful link. It is actually a total re-working of the header area and I want if possible to carry on using the same hooks.

    Currently the header looks like this:
    Lostwithiel
    And I want to change it so we have:
    Nav Bar
    Logo and site title - Rotating image

    Then into content.

    Is it better for me simply to re-write header.php or is there some file I can write so I include the current hooks please?

    Thanks

  4. You could move the nav bar with just CSS. It's something I just started last night. I'll post the CSS here once I know it's working.

  5. Hi Ian

    Can you take a look at what I have done so far please? The problem I am having is getting the slideshow to float right and the blog-title and blog-description to float left:

    -------------- NAV -------
    Title Slideshow
    Description

    Because the nav and title/description all appear in branding but the slideshow doesn't it is messing things up. Is it possible to edit the code that controls branding etc. If so I could simply drop in the slideshow coding, etc...

    Thanks

  6. Hey Rich,

    #branding {float:left;width:300px;}
    #headerslide {float: right;}

    And remove the padding:0 in #branding (your style.css).

    With these changes in Firebug the styling looks great!

    Cheers,

    Chris

  8. Hi All

    Chris very kindly helped me with the last menu which is working great. Can anybody help me with this little problem please?

    http://www.shinecv.co.uk/

    Same sort of menu set-up but we want the navigation to sit where it normally sits. i.e. Below the header title and description. But we also need the text to float to the right of the title and description.

    Thanks

  9. Hey Rich,

    looks much better .. if you still need the address block on the right side of the header .. put the action between branding and access .. branding floats left headertext floats right

    Cheers,

    Chris

  10. Any idea how we edit this header code. I need to add and HTML element within this the access div, but all I can find is this:

    <div id="header">
    <?php thematic_header() ?>
    </div><!-- #header-->
