  1. So my client wants the each entire widget area to link a specific page. I have looked through widgets.php and see where the content is being created, but I am not confident I know how to make this happen. These subsidiary aside widgets are background images. Does anyone have any insight on how to make this happen? Thanks.

  2. I'm not sure I get what your client wants, but if there're just images in the asides that he or she wants to link, there's a plug in called image widget that makes it easy to upload images into asides and link them.

@Chris - should be awfully simple. Let's say you the default 3 subsidiary asides widgets sitting above footer.

If you are inserting the background images thru css - background:url () property, drop that and insert them via image source tag in the widget box, and wrap them with an link.

And ohh, do remember to divide your sub-asides in whatever proportion u want, and match the image dimensions to that.
