  1. I know I'm probably just not figuring out the right search words to figure this out myself, but I'm at my wits end! On my webpage I have a bunch of pages that link to category searches. (www.hawaiicoupondiva.com - then click on military on the top menu bar, for example). All of the posts show up in their "short" version, and you have to click on them to get the full post. I want to turn that OFF so that the full post shows up as the default.

    If anyone can tell me the magic words to add to my child theme (I'm using Thematic Power Blog, if it matters) to make that happen I'd be very appreciative. Thank you!!

    This is Chris' original post regarding the [...] but this works for me for any pages using a category template:

    function excerpt_ellipse($text) {
       if(is_category()){
       return str_replace('[...]', '', $text);
       }else{
    	return $text;
    	}
    }
    add_filter('get_the_excerpt', 'excerpt_ellipse');
