  1. My search results appear as needed using the following in my functions.php. They are full width and the sidebar is absent. Here is the relevant code from the functions.php

    add_action('childtheme_override_search_loop', 'thematic_search_loop');

    function childtheme_override_search_loop() {
    add_filter('thematic_sidebar', 'remove_sidebar');
    // calling the widget area 'page-top'
    	            get_sidebar('page-top');
    		while ( have_posts() ) : the_post();

    				thematic_abovepost(); ?>

    				<div id="post-<?php the_ID();
    					echo '" ';
    					if (!(THEMATIC_COMPATIBLE_POST_CLASS)) {
    						post_class();
    						echo '>';
    					} else {
    						echo 'class="';
    						thematic_post_class();
    						echo '">';
    					}
         				thematic_postheader(); ?>
    					<div class="entry-content">

    					</div><!-- .entry-content -->
    					<?php thematic_postfooter(); ?>
    				</div><!-- #post -->

    			<?php

    				thematic_belowpost();

    		endwhile;
    	}
    // end search_loop

    add_action('childtheme_override_search_loop', 'thematic_search_loop');

    However, when there are no results and the 'Nothing found' page appears, the sidebar is back. What do I need to add change to get the sidebar out of the search results 'Nothing Found' page?

    Thanks for any pointers...

  2. Probably not the cleanest way to do it but I just duplicated the search.php file from thematic into my child theme and made the changes needed there...
