  1. Along the top of the screen there are button/links for any pages that are created. It seems they are created automatically every time I create a "page". I want a home link/button up there along with all the links to any pages I might create and it should be listed first to the far left. I have been trying for two hours but I can find no way to do this. Is this not possible? If so how? Thanks.

    Hi Boris

The easiest way is to create a custom menu.

In the dashboard go to Appearance>Menus. Create a new menu there, and once it's created you'll see on the left under Theme Locations you can add it to your theme as the primary menu.

Once that's done you'll have full control of what pages show up on that menu, and which order they're in.
