    I would like to show indicator arrows on submenus, and followed Helga's instructions in the excellent sticky post, but no indicators show. Do I need to add the .sf-sub-indicator class somewhere? Thanks.

    <div class="menu"><ul class="sf-menu"><li class="page_item page-item-7 current_page_item"><a href="http://mainstreetronceverte.com/" title="Home">Home</a></li><li class="page_item page-item-347"><a href="http://mainstreetronceverte.com/why-ronceverte/" title="Why Ronceverte?">Why Ronceverte?</a></li><li class="page_item page-item-2"><a href="http://mainstreetronceverte.com/about/" title="About RDC">About RDC</a><ul class='children'><li class="page_item page-item-194"><a href="http://mainstreetronceverte.com/about/main-street/" title="Main Street Programs">Main Street Programs</a>

    Thanks Helga, btw your commented stylesheet for the sf menu is super helpful.
    http://mainstreetronceverte.com/

    // Dropdowns - Filter Default options
    // http://users.tpg.com.au/j_birch/plugins/superfish/#options
    function childtheme_dropdown_options($dropdown_options) {
    	$dropdown_options = '<script type="text/javascript" src="'. get_bloginfo('stylesheet_directory') .'/scripts/thematic-dropdowns.js"></script>';
    	return $dropdown_options;
    }
    add_filter('thematic_dropdown_options','childtheme_dropdown_options');

    and here's the javascript

    jQuery.noConflict();
    jQuery(document).ready(function(){
        jQuery("ul.sf-menu").supersubs({
            minWidth: 12, // minimum width of sub-menus in em units
            maxWidth: 27, // maximum width of sub-menus in em units
            extraWidth: 1 // extra width can ensure lines don't sometimes turn over
                                                            // due to slight rounding differences and font-family
        }).superfish({
            delay: 400, // delay on mouseout
            animation:   {opacity:'show',height:'show'},    // fade-in and slide-down animation
            speed: 'fast', // faster animation speed
            autoArrows: true, // enable generation of arrow mark-up
            dropShadows: false // disable drop shadows
        });
    });

  4. glad you liked the rainbow-color-explosion menu. obviously it is unusable, but it helps me design my menu faster.

    went to you site and
    http://mainstreetronceverte.com/wp-content/themes/child-thematic/scripts/thematic-dropdowns.js

    produces a 404 - file not found

    you need to make sure that thematic-dropdowns.js is in your child-thematic/scripts folder

    Well, this is strange - the file is there, here's a screenshot from filezilla, but I also get a 404 error message. Is there something obvious I am missing? Or something wrong with the file permissions?

  7. fresh eyes here

    it seems its a typo
    - instead of _

    http://mainstreetronceverte.com/wp-content/themes/child-thematic/scripts/thematic_dropdowns.js

    so code you posted above should be

    // Dropdowns - Filter Default options
    // http://users.tpg.com.au/j_birch/plugins/superfish/#options
    function childtheme_dropdown_options($dropdown_options) {
    	$dropdown_options = '<script type="text/javascript" src="'. get_bloginfo('stylesheet_directory') .'/scripts/thematic_dropdowns.js"></script>';
    	return $dropdown_options;
    }
    add_filter('thematic_dropdown_options','childtheme_dropdown_options');

    hope this helps

  10. Hey guys, very interested in your drop downs for thematic. I am currently developing a custom child theme, however I have not begun adding functions to it yet. I have a few plugins installed and a great deal of custom CSS. Is there a reference you guys recommend for wordpress and jQuery? I have seen a plugin out there called JQuery Drop Down Menu. Is this what you guys are referring to. If I am sounding like I am completely off track, I will not bother you guys any more, however I am really trying learn more about the thematic framework, since it is so powerful! Drop downs are an absolute must for my new theme. I would appreciate any help and return the favor in any way I can.
