  1. Yes, I am new.

    I want to change the "widgettitle" from italic to bold. I have spent hours reading through posts hoping to find info on what .css code to use. I downloaded Firebug and can see the various classes used on the page, but I am not sure what to copy and paste into my css file.

    Thank you!

  2. Try this one:

    .aside h3 {
    font-weight:bold;
    }

    Cheers,

  3. Chris, thanks very much! Any ideas why my top widget (a text widget) is displaying a font type that is different from the other text widgets?

    And, if you don't mind another question ... How can I insert more white space between each widget? Thank you!

  4. Hey Lynne,

    don't have any idea 'bout the different font types. I tested it with the standard Thematic. The text widget and all other widgets are using font-family:Georgia,serif; as defined in default.css.

    Do you have a link for me to figure out what's going wrong on your blog?

    For the white space .. try this one in your style.css:

    .aside .xoxo li {
    margin: 0px 0px 20px;
    }
    .aside .xoxo li ul li{
    margin: 0px 0px 0px;
    }

    The .aside .xoxo li will define the white space .. change the 20px to whatever you need.
    The .aside .xoxo. li ul li is a needed reset otherwise the list items within a widget would get the white space too.

    Maybe someone else knows a better solution for this.

    Cheers,

    Chris

  5. Thanks, Chris. Your spacing suggestion worked perfectly.

    I am still troubled by the lack of font consistency in the widget titles. The first/top widget title still displays a font different from the others.

    The link to my blog is http://asoundmatch.com/blog/

    I noticed that shifting the position of the widgets changes all the widget font titles. Specifically, if I put a RSS widget at the top, all of the widget titles below it show up as "trebuchet ms" -- I only see this font listed in Firebug -- but I cannot figure out where to view this css (because it's not in default.css.)

    1) Where can I view the css that dictates these widget titles? [If the answer is Thematic 9.0> style.css, then how can I view this file without it trying to overwrite my child's style.css?]
    2) Why are the RSS widgets overriding the font titles in the widgets that appear below them, and how do I stop it?

    fyi - I changed the "body" font to arial.

    Thank you very much!

  6. Hey Lynne,

    you owe me a a handful Aspirin ;-)

    Finally found the problem .. it has nothing to do with the CSS. It's caused by the first text widget .. the second link "Look me up" contains the following information:

    <font size="1" face="trebuchet ms">

    Remove this line and everything should display as expected.

    Cheers,

    Chris
