  1. Hi!

I'm a newbie to html and css. Have just change a little in the codes of my sites before. I have installed the original theme but don't understand how I can change the heather color.

I like the clean look of the theme and the many widgets but think it's tricky to change things in it. Do you have any articles for beginners of this theme. All information I have seen is not on my level.

  2. Maybe it's good to use a child theme but do I have to? All I want is to change the color of my heather and put some adsense code up. To start with at least...

Using a child theme is not difficult and is best practise so I do not see why you SHOULDN'T use one

  4. ok, maybe I will try it.

But can anyone answer my question? How do I change color of the header?

  5. Background color? Border color? Text Color? It is all accomplished using css anyway. Pretty easy, set up your child theme and in your css file add your color.

If you use Firefox, get the Firebug add on, this will help you find the css selector that you wish to modify.

  7. Ok, now it's working :)

But I don't understand firebug. Think I have to read more about how it's working. I was just adding som css code to style.css

Is it the right way to do it?
