    Hi there I think this is pretty easy, it's certainly a common question I see posted around alot...

    I am trying to change my wordpress nav. to display 'News' instead of 'Home'

    I am using the 'Neutica+' child theme of 'Thematic'. I think it's something to do with sandbox and that's where I am getting lost.

    I am seeing a similar topics posted one on the Neutica site but no resolve

    Please help!!!

    Hi

    Dont know anything about Neutica... I assume its the index page we are talking about? (if its any other page I would install Aill in one SEO plugin, there you can change menu lables when editing the page in wp-admin)

    the most common way in thematic to add the site root to the menu is this function:

    function childtheme_menu_args($args) {
       $args = array(
            'show_home' => 'Home',
            'sort_column' => 'menu_order',
            'menu_class' => 'menu',
            'echo' => true
        );
    	return $args;
    }
    add_filter('wp_page_menu_args','childtheme_menu_args');

    Search for this or something similar within the Neutica theme docs. Change Home to News in that code (or rather in your child theme)
