  1. Ok you're right, I'm a designer without a clue what PHP really is. So please have mercy. Maybe I'll build custom themes anyway some day...

    I guess I have to filter around with the thematic_access() function...

    <div class="menu">
    <!-- SPAN HERE -->
    <ul class="sf-menu">
    <li class="page_item page-item-9 current_page_item">Home-Link
    <!-- /SPAN HERE -->
    </div>

  2. Got it! Here is the solution.

    // Unhook default Thematic functions
    function unhook_thematic_access() {
        // Don't forget the position number if the original function has one
        remove_action('thematic_header','thematic_access',9);
    }
    add_action('init','unhook_thematic_access');

    // rebuild that thing with a span
    function treppchen_access() { ?>
    		    	<div id="access">
    		    		<div class="skip-link"><a href="#content">"><?php _e('Skip to content', 'thematic'); ?></a></div>
    		            <span><?php wp_page_menu('sort_column=menu_order') ?></span>
    		        </div><!-- #access -->
    		<?php }
    		add_action('thematic_header','treppchen_access',9);

    thank you very much for that easy to use framework! I think I'm going to learn thematic instead of PHP ;-)
