  1. I have created my first Thematic Child Theme and now I'm going to put it on a friend's blog. But I have realized that, for my friend's blog, it would be nice if the post titles were marked as <h1> and the blog general title marked as <h2> (or <h3>, or something). Indeed, I think this change could be better for SEO reasons.
How can I obtaint this result? Can I add some filter or hook, or should I change the Thematic files?

  2. I think Thematic already does this. On single post pages, the post title is in h1 tags. It's only on the home page (and other aggregated pages, such as archives) where the post title is an h2 - after all there's only supposed to be one h1 per page.

  3. Oh, sorry! I made a mistake in writing the question. What I wish is exactly the opposite: the blog title in <h1>, and the post title in <h2>.

I'm new at this but I think you have to modify one of the functions in content-extensions.php.

Specifically, you will need to modify: thematic_postheader()

I'm new to filters in thematic, but I think you just copy this function to your functions.php file in your child theme and modify it. Make sure when you are done you re apply the filter.

I don't know if you have to delete the filter before applying it or not.
