  1. Hi,

    First off I am very very happy with thematic and power blog, thank you sooo much :)

    I am at a validating stage and have just 3 errors which are to do with having leader asides with the same id's at the top and the bottom of the blog. This makes sense as you cant have 2 div id's in the same page. I was just wondering if there was a way round it, to achieve 100% validation :)

    e.g

    <div id="first" class="aside sub-aside">

    <div id="second" class="aside sub-aside">

    <div id="third" class="aside sub-aside">

    (all appear twice)

    Really not a biggy, and I will gladly live with it, but just wondered....

    Many thanks,

    tom

  2. Hi tommo77funk-

    I agree total validation isn't absolutely necessary but it is a nice feature to have from the start of a basic theme. It certainly makes building off that theme easier when you don't have to constantly overlook css warnings and errors in firebug. Hopefully Ian will address it with an update when thematic bumps to a future release.

    I could suggest a remedies based on the current svn version of thematic but I'm not sure that they'd be compatible for renaming the id's for that theme's widget-areas. If you poke into you're power blog child theme's functions.php you could easily make the edits to the id's yourself. If you need any assistance with it drop me a line.

  4. Hi Tom,

    sorry for this delay, had to take care of a defect elevator first :)

    This issue is already fixed. Please send an email to Ian and request the latest copy of Power Blog.

  5. Ha ha, Great ! You fix elevators as well :) It kind of made me laugh as I do appreciate there are much bigger problems in the world than validating my last 3 errors - the site works and that is what is most important.

    many thanks,

    tom

  6. *lol* .. you can trust a theme that I fixed.

    But don't trust any elevator that I fixed. It might rocket you right to the stars ;)

    No .. I'm not fixing elevators, but running a facility management corp. Had to take care that the right people get the right error codes to fix it.
