  1. Can anyone point me to a good resource on editing the attachment.php file? It seems to default to medium size image with a thumbnail for next and previous link but I can't see where to change this (testing here: http://www.dingdongnation.com/life/laines-8th-grade-graduation-from-aptos/)

    Thanks,
    Leslie

  2. The attachment page defaults to a small image with thumbnails for navigation. I don't see in attachment.php anywhere to change this?

    <div class="entry-content">
    						<div class="entry-attachment"><?php the_attachment_link($post->post_ID, true) ?></div>

    	                        <?php

    	                        the_content(more_text());

    	                        wp_link_pages('before=<div class="page-link">' .__('Pages:', 'thematic') . '&after=</div>');

    	                        ?>

    					</div><!-- .entry-content -->

    Thanks,
    Leslie

  3. can you link me to a sample attachment page? also, there isn't much there, so try commenting them out one at a time. i'm guessing the_content() produces the image.

  4. here is a test page:

    http://www.dingdongnation.com/life/laines-8th-grade-graduation-from-aptos/

    clicking on the thumbnails to go to the attachment page, and it defaults to displaying the medium sized image instead of the full sized. I don't see where to change that in attachment.php, so assuming I have to write some kind of function. Also, I don't see were to change the default thumbnail navigation to a text based one (previous/next)

    Thanks!

  5. you could make it so that they don't link to any attachment pages and then just not worry about it.

    you could also create an image.php in your child theme that will override attachment.php for image attachments.

    comment out the wp_link_pages(). does the prev/next nav go away? if so, then that must be how WP handles wp_link_pages for image attachments. i suspect you might be able to filter it, but you'd probably have to dig into source to find how.

    as i mentioned before, try commenting out the_content(). does that get rid of the medium thumbnail?

    sidenote- how'd you get thematic w/ html5 markup?

  6. Thanks Helga, I'll give your suggestions a try.

    I'm trying to see how far I can push the attachment page so that I won't have to use plugins for galleries anymore. Most the sites I work on are image-management heavy.

    I have no idea where I got thematic w/html5. I use this site to experiment with and remember uploading it but not the source.

  7. HTV

    i commented out

    <?php

    	                        the_content(more_text());

    	                        wp_link_pages('before=<div class="page-link">' .__('Pages:', 'thematic') . '&after=</div>');

    	                        ?>

    but it didn't change anything.

  9. HTV you were right again! It was the image.php overriding. Thanks!
