i am new to WP and need some help that may wind up being a basic issue. i am using the Thematic theme for a site being built. we have our CSS basically done and pages built. just adding content to finish.

just came across the Thematic Feature Site theme and love it as it offers exactly what our home page needs. i just purchased it but am not sure how to use it on my home page, which is now just a blog. how do i use this theme on my home page? i am afriad of overwriting what we've done with our Thematic theme by activating Thematic Feature Site.

is it as simple as copying & pasting the pertinent CSS from our current child theme into the Thematic Feature Site child theme?

    thanks for your help!

  2. Hi,

could you please drop a link to your current child theme?!

  4. Hi,

it would be a copy & paste thing, but I would do this step by step. Don't think a one step copy & paste will work without any major headaches.

Don't ya think thats just a little spammy to drop a link and not add anything to the conversation or ask a question that relates to the topic at hand.

sorry to appear spammy. i am just learning this stuff.
i actually had success with the styles, but after changing my setting for Front Page Display to the Static Home Page as opposed to the posts, I can't get anything to show using this theme. still trying to figure it out.

No worries... It wasn't you. Some other poster dropped in with a spammy reply and Ian removed it. If you're still having problems with that try starting a new thread if its unrelated to this one.
