Issue with @import stylesheets?

  1. I found this topic recently on the negative impact @import stylesheets may have on website performance:

    I realize this is probably not a big issue for most, but it may be something to think about when developing child themes.

    .. we and you are already prepared for this.

    If you don't want to use the @import in your stylesheet you can filter thematic_create_stylesheet() and drop all needed parts into the head section of your child theme.

    .. and there's more to come (as soon as I find a general way to detect the iPhone themes / plugins jumping in)

    @Chris...Hi Chris. I saw you talking in another post about these import styles. i am very new to this. Can you explain what those are for and why I would use them, or can you direct to where it is already answered.
