  1. Hi,

    I have a big problem with this theme and the way it deals with Flickr integration. What i was used to do (with the previous theme Autofocus) was to get the html code and to embed it on each post (usually a single big image). Here's what happens with Autofocus Pro:
    - first i tried using the Flickr html embedded into the post -> this leads to the image being shown in the post, but doubled (first the correct size as chosen and then a smaller copy of it) - author Allan Cole says this cannot be fixed;
    - second i've tried using the oEmbed functionality of the theme, by getting the link of the photo - this time the photo appears only once which is ok, but it takes the small size is used by default - the author says that nothing can be done;
    - third i've tried using the Flickr API integration function of the theme - but this is also a no-go, as i cannot specify a specific photo to be embedded, but just the first photo from the set selected; again, huge disappointment, as this would mean that i have to create a set for each photo i want to use on the photoblog and this is absurd - the author again says that nothing can be done.

    Now this is absolutely frustrating, as i love the theme and i really want to use it, without having to reupload all of my photos on the wordpress server and give up using Flickr (for obvious reasons). In the end, i want to be able to post big photos (usually one/post) without duplicating them and being able to choose the size from Flickr.
    I'm sure this can be done pretty easily, but i am totally unfamiliar with php and i cannot find a solution anywhere.
    My blog is here: http://remgriff.ro/ and the discussion with Allan Cole is here: http://getsatisfaction.com/fthrwght/topics/how_can_i_get_specific_image_size_from_flickr?utm_content=reply_link&utm_medium=email&utm_source=reply_notification#reply_5035805

    Please help.
    Thank you.

  2. i'm not really familiar with AutoFocus.

    but if the author says something can't be done then i think "I'm sure this can be done pretty easily" is a little unrealistic.

    i saw you offer to hire Allan... i think hiring a freelance WP genius might be your best bet. I do it when something gets over my head and takes too long. I've had good success w/ freelancer.com and wordpressfreelance.com

  3. yeah, i did not express myself correctly, the author doesn't say it's impossible to be done, he says this is not present in the standard theme functions (and refers to his statement that he is not involved in any further modifications for this theme.
    and when i'm saying "I'm sure this can be done pretty easily" i'm not referring to what can i do, but to what someone with experience can do; that's why i posted this here, maybe someone who is familiar with this theme will be able to help me.
    thanks for the links, i'll keep them in mind.
