  1. I'm converting a static site to WP and Thematic. The current site has a 1 level dropdown submenu. That submenu remains open as you navigate through a section of the site. So, when in the About section, the subs "History" and "Board of Directors" remain visible below the main nav button "About" while on any of those three pages.

    I haven't found a reference to controlling this in the forum after a good bit of searching. It seems it may require editing the superfish javascript rather than via CSS.

    Anyone have some guidance to offer?

  2. If the static site is live, could you provide a link?

  3. @Jagst3r15, the live site is here: http://www.houstonmetdance.org.

  4. maybe instead of trying to mod the javascript, you could write a function for a second menu (that lives just underneath the first) and displays the child elements. this question isn't really a thematic question so you might get more help at wordpress.stackexchange.com or even regular stackoverflow.com if you phrase it specifically about modifying supersubs

  5. Thanks for the input Helga. I'll do that.

  6. Hey Helga... One followup question you may be able to assist with. I was advised at Stackoverflow that I could easily control the visibility of submenus via CSS, which seemed very promising. However, I have run into an inline visibility style that is getting applied to the submenu that I cannot override.

    <ul class="sub-menu" style="float: none; width: 12.75em; display: none; visibility: hidden;>

    Do you think this inline style is a product of SuperFish's code or is this a Thematic adjustment?

  7. my guess is that is superfish or supersubs. thematic doesn't actually have any custom javascript, so it must all be coming from one of those.
