  1. hi,
    i am trying to replace my header with a flashmovie with the kimili flash plugin.

    i know i have to change my functions.php, but i am confused of how to achieve that.

    also i have a problem with the aside widget areas. as soon as i put a flashmovie in the widgetarea, the category dropdown menue goes behind the flashmovie.

    if anyone can point me in the right directtion i would be more than happy.

    thanks

  3. hey chris,

    i have to say you are awesome, quick replies and always a solution. dankeschoen!!

    the wmode="transparent" for the flashmovies did the deal!!!

    i still cant find out how i can put the embed for the flashmovies in the header.
    i found this:
    http://igwebs.com/igblog/?p=32
    but i can't find out, how to put it in my functions.php of my childtheme.
    i also would love to be able to set a flashmovie as the background image of for example the crown-widget or other widgets to be able to put a normal widget on top of it.

    any ideas?

    thanks

  6. Hi,

    try this code in your child theme's functions.php:

    function my_flash() {
    	$content = '<div id="flashmovie">';
    	$content .= '[kml_flashembed movie="your.swf" height="300" width="300" /]';
    	$content .= '</div>';
    	echo do_shortcode($content);
    	}
    	add_action('thematic_header', 'my_flash', 2);

    You need to change your.swf and the priority 2 to whatever is needed.

    The above code is tested and approved :)
