    Hi,

    I have a strange problem when modifying the layout in my child theme of Thematic.
    I have moved the header, menu and content upwards, because in Thematic the header size is too big for my purposes.
    I have used for example this code in my style.css: #main { position:relative; top: -120px;}

    However, when doing this, the links in the upper part of the page don't work. The menu works as usual.

    Do you possibly know a way to solve this?
    Thanks in advance - I really appreciate the effort of running this forum.

    Hi,

    I'm still working on this site locally on my computer - but here's a link to another site with the same problem:
    www.urbandreammanagement.com
    (original address:)www.hellahernberg.com/udm

    Here I have completely removed the horizontal menu, but the link problem is the same. For instance, you can't click on the title of the first post on any page.

    Thanks!

  4. Hellah-

    #main is hidden behind #branding. Here is where your problem lies

    #main {
    position:relative;
    top:-160px;

    adding z-index:2; to #main will make the links accessible again but if it were me I'd reather not use the relative positioning and instead do something like this:

    #branding { padding-bottom:0; }
    #access { display:none; }
    #main { padding-top:0; }

    Hope it helps - Gene
