I can't seem to get my own child theme to show up in the admin.

I get the "template is missing" message. And yes, I have all references correct: case-sensitive, "theme: thematic", etc.

I am testing locally and wondering if there is a problem with MAMP's settings. Anyone got any tips?

  2. Hi,

just in case you're using non-alphanumeric characters for the directory name .. remove these characters.

    I'm a PC ;)

.. so I can't really help with MAMP

.. that reminds me to work harder and faster to buy a nice Mac Book Pro :)

Turns out that these lines in the beginning comments was causing the problem:

    Hey AnotherAndrew....
off topic - sorta - but have you had issues with MAMP and the latest OS update?
If so, do you know a fix?
Mine stopped working after updating the other day...

    It's always something...

    Amy,

    Sorry for the delay.

I haven't had any issues with os updates. But I am also running 10.4.11.

I don't want to spend the money on an upgrade that might not be stable, and since I don't have an intel mac, I am not going to gain much by upgrading.

But, what kind of problems are you having? It might not be related to the OS....

It stopped connecting to the sql server. I'm sure there's an answer out there - I've just been lazy...
