    Hello. Trying to create a 3-column child theme. I've borrowed the code from your instructions on themeshaper.com and inserted it into my child theme's style.css. However, I'm unable to style text. when I add any style changes under the code below, nothing happens.

    /* Reset browser defaults */
    @import url('../thematic/library/styles/reset.css');

    /* Apply basic typography styles */
    @import url('../thematic/library/styles/typography.css');

    /* Apply a basic 3 column layout */
    @import url('../thematic/library/layouts/3c-fixed.css');

    /* Apply the default Thematic style */
    @import url('../thematic/library/styles/default.css');

    /* Apply basic image styles */
    @import url('../thematic/library/styles/images.css');

    /* Apply styles for popular plugins */
    @import url('../thematic/library/styles/plugins.css');

    I know I'm missing something obvious, and I'm not too proud to ask what it is. Once I get this tiny piece, I'll be good to go. Thanks, all.

    hey

    here is what i do.

    change your default.css call above to either 18px.css or 21px.css, this grabs the basic styles only.

    then copy everything from the thematic default stylesheet and paste it into you childtheme stylesheet (below all that @import stuff)

    now you can edit your styles in the child theme, removing or changing whatever your need.
