  1. I know this topic has been covered to death, so I apologize if seeing one more about it is like sharp stick to the eye.

I have read the post on creating a full-width template here: and I "get" it. I'm confused on how to do this for other types of layouts. I know that thematic has several CSS layout styles. How could I call those layouts into different page templates? I'm probably over thinking this.

I've tried creating page templates that call the different css styles and I haven't gotten it to work. Any pointers are greatly appreciated. I'm going to do some push ups and karate stick fighing in the meantime. Brb. =)

  2. my eye!!! kidding. you could try:

ps- thematic already has a full-width template, so you don't have to make one.

  3. Hey there,
Tanks for the prompt reply and sorry about the eye. =)

I did see that post, that you linked to, I wasn't sure if it would suit what I was doing. I'd just like to do this using a selectable page template.

I also see a full width template is available, which is awesome.

I'm trying to create the following page templates

    Does that make sense?

  4. sure it suits what you are trying to do. you conditionally load the layout according to which template you are on. instead of the conditions chris uses you'd use is_page_template('name-o-template.php')

or you could get around that by using wp_enqueue_style before the get_header() in the template page. i do that sometimes w/ wp_enqueue_script for scripts that i only want to load on particular templates.

    that might be easiest.
