  1. I'am working on a "heavy" minimalistic Theme based on Themeshaper. I don't want any sidebars in it. I leave a blank sidebar.php in the Child-Theme directory and it works. Is this really the solution to do this?

  3. Hey Anthrax,

    thanks!

    A new feature is born ;-) .. it will work this way:

    function kill_sidebar() {
    return FALSE;
    }
    add_action('thematic_sidebar', 'kill_sidebar');

    This will remove the sidebar (primary / secondary) everywhere. If you want to remove it only from a certain page you can implement this in your filter.

    I need max. 1 hour to implement this for the whole theme. Did a quick test with index.php only.

    Cheers,

    Chris

  6. Hi Chris,
    So, is there now a built-in method to remove the sidebars from a specific page? (I'm using Thematic with a simple child theme).
    If not, what code could I use, and would I add that to my child theme? If so, where?
    thanks,
    Neal
